Lilly’s Papillon, how it is usually done!

Several times, Lilly’s Papillon friends from facebook asked me what’s all about with the page, what do I do exactly, what these butterflies are, so I thought to share with you the process of creating one!
But let me give a brief description… For all the jewlery I create I use metal, mainly copper. After the metal is cut into the shape I want to, (well its obvious that it will be a butterfly, moth, or another insect) a safety pin is added at the back, if its for brooches, I sand  the metal, file it, clean it and shiny it, I start painting. It is sort of pointillism and each piece usually takes 3-5 hours! Hope you do like them!… 🙂
